Who we are

About AFK Wellness

Hi, I’m Sophie.

I’m a coach, a gamer, a Lego builder, and someone who gets completely absorbed in what I’m doing.

I also know what it feels like to look up from a session — whether that’s gaming, building, or deep work — and realise my neck hurts, my shoulders are tight, and I haven’t moved in hours.

AFK Wellness started because I needed something that didn’t exist.

I wanted to:

  • Feel better in my body

  • Get stronger

  • Improve how I looked and felt

  • Support my nutrition

  • Without becoming a loud gym person

  • Without rigid food rules

  • Without pressure or shame

And as an introverted, neurodivergent adult, most fitness spaces just didn’t feel built for me.

So I built something different.

Why AFK Wellness Exists

AFK Wellness is for people who:

  • Love focused, seated hobbies

  • Lose track of time easily

  • Feel overwhelmed by mainstream fitness culture

  • Want structure without intensity

  • Need support that works with fluctuating energy

It’s calm.
It’s predictable.
It’s supportive.

No shouting.
No “no excuses.”
No transformation culture.

Just thoughtful coaching and realistic structure.

My Background

I run a small group PT business and coach clients online, so I understand programming, progression, and how to build sustainable results.

But AFK Wellness is different from traditional coaching.

It blends:

  • Strength training

  • Mobility

  • Nervous system awareness

  • ND-friendly structure

  • Gentle nutrition frameworks

  • Real-life energy management

It’s coaching for real adults with real brains and real responsibilities.

What I Believe

You don’t need to become someone else to improve your health.

You don’t need to love the gym.
You don’t need to track everything.
You don’t need perfect discipline.
You don’t need to hustle your body.

You’re allowed to:

  • Want to feel better

  • Want to look better

  • Want support

  • And stay yourself

Consistency is powerful.
Kindness is powerful.
Structure is powerful.

And pauses are part of progress.

A Personal Note

AFK doesn’t mean quitting.

It means stepping away long enough to take care of yourself — so you can come back stronger, clearer, and more comfortable in your body.

That’s what AFK Wellness is about.
